Association of Missouri Mediators Call for Workshop Proposals

AMM is pleased to invite individuals to submit a workshop proposal to be presented at our annual conference in St. Louis, MO on Friday, October 21, 2011. The conference will be held at St. Louis University’s Busch Student Center, and the keynote speaker is Dr. Miles Patterson, a nationally renowned expert in nonverbal communication, who has published several books and dozens of scholarly articles.

Presenters are encouraged to make the presentation relevant to the conference theme, which is “Multiple Languages in Mediation,” but the presentation may also address a wide variety of topics related to mediation and communication. For example, topics may include mediation strategies, negotiation techniques, ethical dilemmas in mediation, or mediation in specific areas of practice. Presenters will not pay a registration fee and will receive a free lunch. Workshops will last between 60 and 75 minutes in length. Please send the following information to schaefza@slu.edu no later than midnight on June 10th.

  • Workshop title
  • 100-300 word abstract
  • How the workshop relates to conference theme
  • Relevant contact information
  • Relevant biographical information

Feel free to email Dr. Zach Schaefer with any questions regarding the conference (schaefza@slu.edu). The AMM conference planning committee looks forward to receiving and reading high quality proposals!!
